Bisola's story

Professional Bisola
My journey to becoming a product designer was a gradual one. I've always been passionate about designing and developing user experiences (UX), focusing on accessibility.
Not knowing about UX, I leaned towards web development; I graduated with a Bachelor's in Systems & Computer Science from Howard University and started my tech career as a Software Engineer. From there, I became a Web Developer, Design Technologist consultant, UX Designer consultant, then eventually a Product Designer.
I am motivated by the concepts of inclusive design, equity, and improving diversity within the tech industry, focusing on black women's representation. The solutions we see in the market tend to represent the people involved in the decision-making and product development. Focusing on equity and diversity will make the world better and more inclusive.
2024 APDListWrapped revealed that I am a top 30% mentor with 990 mentorship minutes.
I had fun attending the Phoenix Design Week in Arizona.
Our design ideation session was filmed for an office highlight reel a few years ago.
